South Jersey Racing Reunion & Memorabilia Show

Girls Garage was on hand for the South Jersey Race Car & Memorabilia Show on October 21st,  2007 at the Elmer Grange Hall in Elmer, NJ.  Race photographer Ralph Richards coordinates the annual event in an effort to bring back motorsports memories of yesterday.  Each year, Ralph invites former racers, racing historians and local photographers for an exchange of stories and a nostalgic escape back in time.

The show featured an antique display that included items such as the original point standings board from Flemington Speedway, bricks from Alcyon Speedway, and photos of former track champions from all over Southern New Jersey.   Race fans of today and the old school fans of yesterday also enjoyed a walk down memory lane that showcased vintage race cars from decades ago.  The collection of photos and memorabilia was living proof that North Carolina is not the only state with racing roots; Jersey has its own share of horsepower history.
