NASCAR Busch East Series champion Joey Logano announces his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut to come at Dover on May 31,  2008
October 31, 2007

Joey Logano, the 2007 NASCAR Busch East Series champion and winner of the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown at  Irwindale Speedway, revealed this past weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway that he'll make his debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on May 31, 2008 at Dover International Speedway. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver will make his first career NASCAR Nationwide Series start just one week after turning 18, the minimum age required by NASCAR to compete in any of its three national touring series'.

Tagged as "the real deal" by NASCAR veteran and four-time Dover winner Mark
Martin, Logano clinched the NASCAR Busch East  Series crown at the Monster Mile
on Sept. 21, 2007, and by doing so became the series' first rookie champion and
its youngest since the series' inception in 1989. It capped off a highly
successful season that saw Logano set the regional  racing world on fire. He scored seven wins in 2007, including five in the NASCAR Busch East Series, one in the NASCAR  Grand National West Series, and most recently on Oct. 20, 2007 at the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown which features top  drivers from both the East and West Series.

"Joey Logano proved this season that he has the natural talent and drive to
become a NASCAR champion," said Gary Camp, director of public relations for
Dover International Speedway. "We're looking forward to Joey's highly anticipated debut at Dover in June and I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before we see him in Victory Lane in the NASCAR Nationwide  Series."

Logano signed with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2005, and just days after turning 15, made his debut in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup  Series. Less than a month later on June 11, Logano scored his first Hooters Pro Cup win at Mansfield Motorsports Park. The 2006 season saw continued success in Hooters Pro Cup, with Logano winning two races and a pole en route to a solid  fifth-place finish in the Southern Division point standings. It was a precursor to the success Logano would attain in  2007.

Also introduced this past weekend was a line of Logano merchandise with Motorsports Authentics that will include a running clock on their website,
www.goracing.com. The countdown allows fans to follow the days, hours and minutes until Logano's NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at the Monster Mile.

Tickets are now on sale for the June 1, 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, May 31,
2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series and May 30,  2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
